Approvals & Standards
AdvanceŽ Vented and Non-Vented Caps meet all applicable requirements for a Type I (top impact) helmet as outlined in ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009: Vented (Class C) and Non-Vented (Class E)

Advance Caps also meet the ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2009 voluntary standard for reverse donning.

WARNING: Do not mix suspension and helmet sizes. Make sure the sizes match (i.e., standard-size suspension with standard-size helmet). Use only MSA suspensions on an MSA helmet. Failure to comply with the above will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective helmet, which can result in serious injury or death.

Product Information

Feature cooling vents along the crown for improved air circulation, a lightweight design for added comfort, lateral contours above the ear for easy integration of hearing protection, an optional four- or six-point ratchet suspension system with a soft, absorbent sweatband and a Glaregard underbrim to reduce reflective glare. V-Gard advance caps are not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side or rear. MSA's Vanguard protective helmets must be used if lateral protection is desired.
