Principles of Operation The manual Dynescape descender has two modes of operation. It can be attached to a worker by way of a harness chest D-Ring or it can be attached to an overhead anchor point. If the descender is attached to the user's harness chest D-Ring with the rope attached to the overhead anchor point, the descender gives the user the ability to lower himself/herself to the ground or to provide rescue to a suspended victim. If the manual descender is attached to the overhead anchor point with the rope attached to chest D-Ring of harness, a topside attendant has the ability to lower multiple persons from an elevated area to the ground.
